| | Matt and I went on a vacation to Lake Powell this last week. We got home Saturday and today I woke up and still felt like I was on the boat. I went out for my run hoping it would help get rid of that feeling. However, instead of helping it just seemed to make it worse. I felt like I was trying to run while the road was moving up and down. After the first 10 minutes I was so dizzy and sick to my stomach that I decided to walk. I'm more sea sick on dry ground than I ever was on the water. Ahhhhh! |

| | When I started out this morning there was a light sprinkle. By the time I got to my 4th mile the rain was coming down in buckets, and it was cold! I thought to myself "hey I get to ice my leg and run at the same time :)" Actually really enjoyed the rain. I'm probably the only person in the world that hopes it rains (at least part of the time, preferably later in the day) for the St. George marathon. |

Tried to run today but my hip hurt so bad. I just gave-up and came home and cried. I hate it when my body doesn't work for me the way I want it to. I did get in another good 2 hour workout at martial arts.

| | I decided I'd give running a break and see if I can get my hip to feel better, so I walked for 20 min. and got in 1.2 miles of walking. |

| | What a crappy week. I don't know whether I have a cold or just really bad allergies, but my throat hurts and I can't breath very well, but I was determined to get some kind of workout in. I got out for 30 min. I did a combination of walk/run until my hip started hurting, and then I finished by walking the rest of the time. I hope next week will be better. I have the TOU half to run next Saturday. |

TOU 1/2 Marathon (13.1 Miles) 02:35:12 | |
I really enjoyed the race today. I was a little nervous going into it because of the way my hip has been feeling, but thankfully it didn't give me any problems today. I wasn't sure how much I'd be able to improve on my time from last year, but I just took it one step at a time. As I got to the last few miles of the race I was surprized at how much energy I still had. I was able to finish strong and actually ended up taking over 7 minutes off my time. That made be feel great! I'm far far far from fast, but here are my splits any way. 10:53 11:43 11:44 11:44 11:01 10:57 11:35 11:47 12:00 12:21 12:11 12:56 11:57 9:16

| | The only running I got in today was at my Dynamic Fitness lab. We ran 1/2 mile warm up, and then did "strides" from goal post to goal post (on the HPER Field at USU) 6 times. I also got in 1 hour of Martial arts training.
